Butterfly Valley

Near the village of Theologos, 25 km from the city of Rhodes is the well-known valley of butterflies. It is a canyon about 1 kilometer long around the Pelacanos River. The juice secreted by plane trees, attract millions of butterflies of the species Panaxia quadripunctaria, with the characteristic spots on each feather.

The visit to the Valley of the Butterflies brings the visitor into direct contact with nature and is a very pleasant experience, with wooden bridges, trails, water lilies, rafts and small waterfalls.
