The Archaeological Museum of Nisyros at Mandraki includes findings from the prehistoric settlement on the volcanic island of Giali, opposite Nisyros, dating back to the 4th millennium BC. Excavations revealed an entire neolithic building of ellipsoidal shape, parts of other buildings, as well as a cemetery. There are many findings from the necropolis of the ancient city dating back to the Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic periods, as well as findings from the Early Christian, Byzantine and post-Byzantine Nisyros.
